Meet the Floor Coverings International Team
President and CEO
Tom joined Floor Coverings International as the President and CEO in 2005 after previously serving three years as a Vice President for the parent company in a role that had him responsible for overseeing the strategy and operational direction of several of the brands in the organization’s vast franchising portfolio. Tom initially joined the parent company in 1985 and has worked in several of the sister companies including the following; College Pro Painters from 1985 – 1990 as both a franchisee and as an executive, CertaPro Painters as Vice President and part of the founding team from 1992 – 1998, President of The Franchise Development Center where he oversaw the franchise expansion and development for CertaPro Painters, California Closets and Paul Davis Restoration from 1998 – 2004.
Vice President, Operations
Chad Schloerke joined Floor Coverings International in 2006 after spending 11 years with College Pro Painters serving in multiple roles from Franchise Owner to Vice President. In his time with College Pro, Chad led the organization in same store sales growth, growing average franchise revenues by 76% in four years.
Upon joining Floor Coverings International as the Director of New Franchise Development, Chad built and led the training and support programs for new franchisees. Over the years, Chad and the Operations Team have led Floor Coverings International growth of 200% by taking what was a “Man in a Van” concept and building a system that allows for dramatic scaling of professionally staffed business.
Vice President of Franchise Development
Mark has had a long and very successful career at CertaPro Painters where he was a key component to the their growth over the past 15 years. After Graduating from Boston University with a Masters in Economics in 1993, Mark began his Journey into Entrepreneurship by running a franchise with College Pro Painters. That summer experience kindled in him the drive to go the path less traveled and encourage others to do the same. Over the past 20 years, Mark has assisted over 400 budding entrepreneurs into their business, while pursuing that passion on his own as well. Mark transitioned from College Pro to CertaPro in 1998 and recently joined Floor Coverings International as Sr VP of Franchise Recruitment.
Vice President of Brand Experience
A veteran of franchising with over 30 years of experience, Ms. Murphy joined Floor Coverings International® in October 2011 as Director of Operations, engaging with franchisees in the New Franchise Development Program. In April 2015, Ms. Murphy took on the role of Vice President, Brand Experience. In this role, she is responsible for leading the adoption and ongoing development of the Inspired Sale throughout the Floor Coverings International system, ensuring our customers are provided the best in-home flooring experience.
Prior to joining Floor Coverings International, Ms. Murphy enjoyed a 23-year tenure with another home service brand, where she was responsible for sales training, field support, and the implementation of marketing programs.
Director of Merchandising
Neil Daley is a flooring industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience. He has served in roles that include sales and operations management, training, merchandising, and product strategy. His experience working in leadership roles with companies such as The Home Depot, CCA Global Partners, and Empire Today is leveraged to ensure Floor Coverings International franchisees are able to provide better product solutions than our competitors.
Chief Marketing Officer
Mark Montini was given the nickname “maverick” by friends in high school and has certainly lived up to that moniker throughout his business career. A serial entrepreneur, he’s started and sold three technology companies and has built an international following for his forward-thinking, disruptive approach to leadership. Mark’s work has been featured by the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Fortune, Entrepreneur, Fox News, and CIO.com. Today, he serves as an advisor and speaker to Fortune 500 companies, franchises, start-ups, non-profits and even political campaigns delivering strategic insights in the areas of innovation, leadership, communication, and technology.
